PHP Money Format

Formats Numbers (Float, Int) as Currency and returns a String.

Here is the Syntax: money_format(string,number)

Options:
  • i - Formats the number according to the international standard for displaying the currency. (The US $ is USD)
  • n - Formats the number according to the national standard. (Prints a $ for the US Dollar instead of USD)
  • Example 1:
    $MINPRICE= 19.9989323
    money_format('%i',$MINPRICE) produces this output: USD 19.99
    money_format('%n',$MINPRICE) produces this output: $25.45
